Looking for: Caribbean; Central & North America;
Experience: 5750 ocean miles / 6000 coastal miles
I've sailed since a boy starting in a wooden dinghy and moving on to Surfcats, Tornadoes and other small cats. Cruised Perth and NW Australia in a trailer-sailer and laid up a 29' GRP monohull and cruised the coast of NSW. 10yrs of Club racing in the Summer, Twilight and Winter series in Scotland. Chartered catamarans several times from St Lucia and cruised the Eastern Caribean. Cruising a Seawind 1260 around the Great Barrier Reef as far north as Lizard Island several times and then Phuket to Penang. A low was Phuket to Andaman Islands which including striking an object along the way and becoming an involuntary monohull. But that was many years ago and after a decade away from sailing I have prepped our 2021 Lagoon 42 for bluewater cruising ready to explore the rest of the world in retirement with my wife Irene. Unfortunately we were too late for the ARC 2023, but going anyway.
