58 years old, semi-retired boat owner (Malo 37). Looking to complete my first Atlantic crossing for experience before completing my planned Atlantic circuit starting in 2024. I have signed up for Arc 2024. Many miles sailing my own boats as skipper, cruising South Wales, Southern Ireland, Northern France plus deliveries as crew/watch leader including: Breskens to Cowes Gouvia, Greece to Woolverstone Cuxhaven to The Hamble Neyland to Douarnenez. Commercially endorsed RYA Yachtmaster Offshore qualified. I am a RYA Cruising Instructor and work part-time for Pembrokeshire Cruising, instructing Competent Crew and Day Skipper level. Engineering background means competency with most on board systems.
