Experienced cruising sailor, about 55,000 miles in the past twenty eight years. I move slowly, and stop to enjoy the people and places I visit. Not a dreamer hoping to get off the dock one of these years. I am currently cruising the Northland of New Zealand. I strongly prefer the company of women. I'm not necessarily looking for a relationship, but am open. I've sailed with crew through this site that have been both friends and more. There isn't a lot of space, but there are separate berths. My Myers Briggs is INFJ, unusual for a guy. Much more likely to be reading a book than watching sports. Prefer small social gatherings to loud parties and clubs. Not a loud American, more the soft spoken intellectual. No he's not my President! I'm not setting a current destination because I am open to what seems appropriate. I have lots of experience in the Pacific and would do another swing through some of the beautiful spots I've visited and see some of those I've missed. If the right crew is aboard I'd love to sail through SE Asia, down to S Africa with a stop in Madagascar and then up to the Med. That would be quite a trip, one I've prepared for for years. It wouldn't be a sprint though, there are too many bucket list stops along the way. This is an opportunity to learn the ropes and test yourself. I have taken on inexperienced crew in the past as my references indicate, they have all enjoyed the time aboard and remain friends. If you have a sea bag full of miles I'm sure you'll find this an opportunity to hone your skills. This is a boat without strong pink or blue roles. I usually do the engine and head work, but if you want to learn I will offer pointers from planning to clean up. Then again if you have new tricks to teach, I'm always open to learning. No yelling, and respect are watchwords. The rule of the boat is the more conservative approach is best. If you are scarred how can you feel safe and have fun? | |
