Born and raised in Norway. Moved to California in 1998. Engineer. Business owner. Sailing resume follows: 1985-1991: I got my sea legs on my mother’s Draco 23 day cruiser. Spent the summers cruising the Norwegian SW and SE coasts. 1993: Enlisted in the Royal Norwegian Navy. Served aboard Norwegian Coast Guard vessel K/V Nordsjøbas (as Sparkie). 1996: Two weeks as charter skipper on a Jeanneau 36, Greece 1996: Two weeks as charter skipper on a Gib’sea 44, Greece 1996-1997: Crewed in a number of races aboard a Dynamic 37. Norway. 1997 -1998: Part-owner, part-operator of an 11 Meter one-design racing sailboat. Norway. 1997-1998: A variety of crew positions during a full season of racing aboard 11 Meter one-design. Norway. 1999-2007: A variety of crew positions racing various keelboats in and around Marina Del Rey, CA. Raced every Wednesday night and many weekend events. 2013-2018: Owner/operator of a Fair Weather Mariner 39. Countless trips to various anchorages off the Channel Islands, Southern California. 2018-Present: Purchased current yacht, a Discovery 55, in Antigua. Single-handling her with assistance from wife. Sailed from Antigua in Feb ’18, southward to the Grenadines through the Leeward and Windward islands. Turned around at Union Island and headed back north through the arc of the Caribbean, through the BVIs and on to The Bahamas (5 days). Cruised The Bahamas extensively between Acklins and Abaco and eventually departed The Bahamas for Moorehead City, NC (5 days). Sailed from Moorehead City, NC to Newport, RI (4 days) Cruised New England northwards to Camden, ME. Headed south again in late November, eventually departing Newport, RI for The Abacos, The Bahamas (5 days). Spent the winter in The Bahamas, as far south as Georgetown, Great Exuma. Sailed to Key West, FL in early May, arrived in St. Petersburg, FL mid-May 2019. Departed St. Petersburg, FL Feb 2021. Currently back in Georgetown, Exumas, The Bahamas Will be sailing to Bermuda in early April
