| Solo sailed up east coast of Australia around the pointy bit, but have had enough of sailing on my own so am looking for a crew member to join me in Darwin to sail north to Indonesia Thailand Malaysia etc. Much as I love the cat her conversational abilities are a bit limited and her lack of an opposing thumb makes breaking open food containers a bit on the slow side. Australia has been an interesting place to sail from the southern ocean to the relative calm of being inside the G.B.R. although that has included some complex route planning and reef avoiding.The navigation thing... The main things are keeping the yacht in trim, keeping it safe so I can tell exaggerated tales of hardship over lots of beers. We all love a good long tale to keep everyone laughing. I have owned a couple of yachts around the world but only for a year or two so have not included them as they are in the past and I found Southern California to be a most consistent place to sail as far as weather was concerned plenty to see but east to forget as well. | |
