My name is Miguel Gómez Barba and I can’t stop thinking about the profound personal implications that odysseys have in the life of its protagonists. Some details about myself to see whether I could potentially be a right fit in any of the boats: - I´m a 29 year old guy from Cádiz, Spain; 75 kg and 189 cm; 3 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. - I speak Spanish (native), English (advanced) and French (intermediate). - I started sailing at the age of 8. Ever since, I have sailed in the following classes: Raquero, Catamaran, Optimist, L’Equipe, Laser, Snipe, Windsurf, Platú 25 and different sailing boats up to 45 feet. I have participated in competitions, regattas and leisure cruises (Valencia-Málaga and Guadiana river). - I became a licensed sailing instructor at the age of 16 in gratitude to my sailing club Flota Snipe Cádiz, so as to introduce children on a non-profit basis to the fundamentals of sailing and promote its values. - I´m currently licensed to sail ≤16 meter boats up to 12 nautical miles from the coastline (Patrón de Embarcaciones de Recreo in Spain). - In 2021, after five years, I quit my job as a lawyer and economist in a prestigious law firm in Madrid, so I’m currently available on short notice, specially to be embarked in journeys that can contribute to personal development such as this! - I’m confident that my company in one stage of this trip would not become a burden for the crew but quite the opposite. I can prove myself useful in manoeuvres and trimming of sails. I am ready to contribute enthusiasm and flavour to the social experience too. - Availlable on 0034610046139 and [email protected] | |
