| 74 y/o with 35 years sailing experience. 40000+ nm, half being ocean sailing. I will be sailing from S Florida to the Chesapeake Bay in April, and would like at least one crew to assist with watches, repairs, etc. I can sail non-stop, or hop in 1-3 day hops up the coast. My boat is a 1999 53' Amel ketch, well cared for with in mast furling, center cockpit, watermaker, all the amenities. I wait for suitable weather windows and heave-to rather than bash into a big sea. I use Iridium GO for emails, weather, and emergency communication, with InReach as backup and two EPIRBs. I pay all boat expenses, crew pays land transport, food costs shared equally. No smoking on board, alcohol limited to one drink a day while at sea. All crew expected to pitch in with cooking, cleaning, watch-taking, and helping with any repairs needed while at sea. | |
