| I lived on a boat in the Mediterranean with my family for three years as a teenager, I learnt to scuba dive and subsequently worked as an engineer on 32m charter motor yachts. I returned to boating just over 13 years ago after a career ashore and trained and sailed on numerous sailing yachts. A few years ago I helped my daughter recommission a 56 year old 55' wooden fishing boat, then sailed her down from Preston to the South coast. I have my own photography business and have taken a year out I set sail in June 2018 in my Bowman 42 from Portsmouth, travelled along the south coast to Plymouth, crossed Biscay to La Coruna and then down the Spanish and Portugese Atlantic coast to the Algarve, then 3 days across to Madeira and then on to the Canary islands and then the Atlantic crossing to St Lucia Nov/Dec 2018. Since then we have been cruising around the Caribbean. | |
