Currently based in: Inishbofin Island, Ireland
Looking for: Worldwide opportunities

Day job: Originally a primary school teacher and principal but still only 52 years of age. Others: I now manage our family hotel/pub on the west coast of Ireland, Murray's Doonmore Hotel, with my partner, Donna. I travelled much of the world as I was a singer in several Irish traditional/folk bands. Growing up on an island, I have plenty of experience in all kinds of boats and of course I am an experienced fisherman.I have a DSC VHF licence, RYA coastal skipper ticket and I set up the Inishbofin Sailing Club in 2014. I have been known to cook on occasions too! My partner Donna and I have sailed together on trips in the Med and from Gibraltar to Gran Canaria, doing day and night watches and all the usual jobs on board and getting on extremely well with all other crew. I crossed the Atlantic in Jan/Feb 2019, sailing from Las PAlmas, Via Cape Verde to Martinique. We are friendly, easy going (when not chasing our staff around with machetes),neat, hard working and as yet not certified as crazy.
