Fantastic opportunity to obtain significant mileage, seatime and experience towards RYA Yachtmaster - sailing from the Azores to UK (Hamble river, Southampton) The journey is expected to take about 9 days and cover 1000 + miles. We will be rotating crew responsibilities inc. time as acting skipper. This is not a RYA training course however, but opp. to obtain mileage and experience with like minded individuals in a challenging but rewarding offshore leg. We start in the Azores and you can link up with the Ryanair flights which are as low as £50 from the UK. The yacht is fully equipped, has a watermaker, satellite comms, generator (240 volts), inner forestay & staysail and inner mast track set up for storm sails which we will be practising in drills. Latest, extensive, safety gear with safety the priority at all times. Shared costs amount to under £30 pd.
