[ Full ] Azores to Plymouth April 2018 Portugal to United Kingdom ref 9059

Velvet Adventure Sailing wants 1 crew for Velvet Lady, Oyster 55, 17m.
From PontaDelgarda, Portugal to Plymouth, United Kingdom.
April 2018 to April 2018.
1200 miles of roughy toughy ocean sailing as we sail across the Atlantic from Ponta Delgada in the Azores to Plymouth, UK. This is the toughest trip of our itinerary for the year and can be quite rough and windy. The weather on ocean passages is unpredictable and to allow for this and for your safety we allow plenty of time for this trip. With fair winds and flat seas we can have a fast passage back to UK, in which case we will use the 'spare time' to visit ports on the south coast of England. In 2012 the weather forecast was bad, and so we used our spare days waiting out the weather in the Azores, last year we were becalmed and had to burn a lot of diesel to make it on time. Either can happen, it is all part of the experience. This is a commercially operated vessel with full time skipper and mate with in excess of 100,000nm aboard this yacht in the last 10 years. The cost of the trip is £1495 plus you flights and travel insurance.
