Two Drifters, a 44ft Lagoon Catamaran, will be returning to the Caribbean having sailed from the Bahamas to Maine during the Hurricane Season. We are joining The Salty Dawg Fall Rally to Virgin Gorda, BVI. Last year there were 75 plus boats on the rally which should make for a good party. About us: Husband and Wife and our dog Molly, we have sailed form Europe to Caribbean, and then onto the USA. We enjoy offshore sailing and the boat is well geared up to it, but prefer to have more than just the two of us for more than six days at sea. About the trip: 1400 miles, we will sail well off shore from the US to avoid the negative effects of the Gulf Stream and then turn south. So the first few days could be a little cold, but it should soon warm up when we turn south. This is not a down wind sail traditionally like an Atlantic sail and it can produce some adverse weather, particularly at the beginning. So solid sailing experience is important. We are relaxed, good cooks, like fishing and run a 99% dry boat when offshore. We passage plan for 6 knots so expect the trip to take 10 days. We would like a couple to join us who are happy to share a cabin, as whilst we have 3 cabins, one is used as a store room.

Crew roles: All roles on the boat will be shared. This is not a particularly long trip so a good deal of the food will be pre prepared and frozen. But cooking and cleaning etc is a good way to pass the time. We also enjoy playing cards, watching movies etc...

Money: expenses shared equally

Travel to and from boat: crew pays
