Description

Caramba is a ocean going ketch from a well know maker designed for comfortable ocean going passages (including generator, water maker, washing machine and dish washer). 2.2m draught, several water tight bulkheads and an insulated engine room that contains all pumps, generator, water maker, fuel tank and a central bilge waste water and water intake. Bow thruster, keg rudder, fin keel, 25 tons. New sails. Built 2000 and worked on having sailed from Tunisia to Caribbean from June 2016 to date.

One person can maintain watch and trim sails. She will cruise comfortably in a wide range of conditions although not ideal for very light conditions. 600l of fuel and 1000litres of water, and a range of centre cockpit cover configuration make sailing comfortable and safe although Caramba will turn a steady 10knots down wind and make 7/8 knots on a reach without getting too wet in a reasonable sea state. There are essentially two cabins, a rear owners cabin and a forward berth (double bed and single), two bathrooms, although with other beds can take up to 8 rather less comfortably. We sail with 2 - 4 generally. We carry a paddleboard and a 3.2m dinghy with 15 HP outboard as well as a dive compressor and gear for two people.
