Join our hi spec commercially coded 12 meter Ovni for hands on sailing in comfort on our go anywhere expedition boat. We have one space available for the week of June 3-9th to explore the Fresian islands and North Sea then all the excitement of navigating the mighty Elbe and transmitting the Kiel canal all the way to Kiel and the Baltic Sea. Happy to take beginners through to experienced sailors and get you involved in all aspects of sailing our boat. We are both yacht masters and happy to share our technical and local knowledge of the area with you. Our lifting keel offers the opportunity to follow in Erskine Childers "Riddle of the Sands" novel following the withies over the shallow sands to Norderney if tides permit. This was one of our highlights on returning from the Baltic last year. Plenty to explore ashore including the historic town of Rendsburg on the canal and the famous WW2 German U boat at Kiel. And plenty of sailing as we will probably head for Helgolan out in the North Sea to catch the favourable tide into the Elbe where we achieved over 11knots SOG last year !

Crew roles: We provision yacht with fresh ingredients and wine etc and prepare all meals although a helping hand is always appreciated. We encourage all on board to participate in sailing the boat and learn new skills . If you seek a passive cruise experience then this is not for you ! But if you enjoy remote anchorages, positive energy and a spirit of adventure then we would love to have our join us.
