The Rolex Fastnet Race began in 1925, takes place every two years and is one of the three most famous offshore races in the world alongside the Rolex Sydney to Hobart Race and the Rolex Middle Sea Race. The race starts off Cowes on the Isle of Wight, heads out through the Needles and follows the southern coastline of England towards Lands End before crossing the Celtic Sea and rounding the Fastnet Lighthouse, Ireland’s most southerly tip. Returning back on a similar course, the race rounds the Isles of Scilly before finally finishing in Plymouth. In order to complete the required milage to compete in the race, the campaign package will include a training weekend and 3 training/qualifying RORC races. Campaign Dates: 10th-11th June: RORC Morgan Cup 7th-9th July: RORC Cowes-Dinard-St Malo Race 22nd-23rd July: RORC Channel Race 6th August: Rolex Fastnet Race begins plus 1x weekend of Offshore Survival training – date tbd What’s Included: Race entry fees 3x qualifying races Offshore survival training & certificate Professional skipper & 2 mates Food & drink while sailing Accommodation while sailing Crew shirts Safety equipment * Please note due to yacht configuration below deck, there is no accommodation available on the boat whilst in harbour. Food & drink whilst alongside is also not included. Individual personal holiday insurance is mandatory.
