You will have the time of your life on this adventure sailing voyage to the Lessor Antilles of the Caribbean! Kajsamoor is a working cargo vessel much like the trading schooners of the past. You will have a comfortable bunk and 3 delicious meals prepared by our chef. The training program offers sail trainees an opportunity to sail as deckhands on a traditional ship

Crew roles: Everyone on board participates in the ship's operation: standing watch, handling sails, scrubbing the deck, paint and varnish maintenance, taking a turn at the wheel, raising anchor, hauling on lines, helping in the galley, going aloft (optional) and keeping lookout. You will learn seamanship, navigation, astronomy and traditional (no winches on board) sailing. In addition to the hands-on learning of the operation of the ship, you will be exposed to the physics of sailing, safety procedures and the use of safety equipment, and the effects of tides, currents & weather on ocean & ship. You will learn a bit about marine ecology, oceanography, and the maritime history of the areas sailed. You will have ample time in each port to explore these wonderful islands, one to two days usually.
Money: daily contribution from crew $100
