[ Full ] ARC 2016 Canary Islands to Saint Lucia ref 6607

ian coglin wants 1 crew for Mr X, Grand Soleil 39, 11.98m.

From Grand canaria, Canary Islands to Rodney bay, Saint Lucia.

November 2016 to December 2016.

The boat is participating in the ARC 2016. We have 3 definite crew with 2 potential which I expect to get only 1 if lucky. Therefore, we have 2 spaces. I like to run a balanced crew and with 2 male and 1 female confirmed and one of each deciding i would like to even things up with another female. Finance: the boat runs on shared expenses but with a supplement of £10 per day at sea to defer the boat entry costs and wear and tear on her. I also will ask for the individual's ARC entry fee to be paid by the individual. So what does shared expenses mean, well in the past it has worked out about £15 per day to feed, moor and fuel the boat. I would also be keen to sail together (the boat is in the Med at present) for a few days before hand so that you know you like us (well some of us) and the boat. During this shakedown we will be honest with each other Also to give us all an idea the crew currently is 40s and 50s but very young (verging on immature in some cases!) in outlook so we do not mind any age, but you might! It is not a deal breaker but an ocean crossing in any capacity would be a bonus

What roles/experience are needed (Crew 1): does not matter

Sailing with a Rally: ARC – Atlantic Rally for Cruisers

I'm looking for (gender): Female

Cabins/Sleeping : shared cabin-own bunk

Smoking on board: smoking allowed

Total people on board: 5

Crew roles: Ok obviously deckwork as stated, maintenance: we all participate according to interest and ability, we should all learn something from each other really. Several people with knowledge to call on if you just want to help. Cooking: we have several capable cooks, but we would expect to share this again according to ability so if all you can do is the salad and sandwiches..well that is not a problem in itself. Navigation, comms, meteorology and routing: willing to have people's input

Money: expenses shared equally

Travel to and from boat: crew pays
