[ Full ] Short-notice ARC+ crossing from Cape Verdes… Cape Verdes to Saint Lucia ref 5901
Noah Darnell wants 1 crew for PROTEUS, Hunter Passage 42, 13m.
From Mindelo, Cape Verdes to Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia.
November 2015 to December 2015.
Needing short-notice crew for trans-atlantic. After crossing from Canary Islands to Cape Verdes, we have decided we need a crew to help with the trans-atlantic. Our goal is to make landfall in St.Lucia with ARC+, but then we will very soon after sail north to the US Virgin Islands before Christmas. The crew member would be welcome to join us along the route to there until they want to get off: you're welcome to stay on as long as you'd like until Christmas. The decision was based on some difficulty that we had with the autopilot during this crossing. Adding another crew member would be EXTREMELY helpful if the autopilot was to go down mid-Atlantic and we had to hand-steer. We are getting things handled where we do not think this will be a problem, but if it does, it will be important to have that extra crew to help spread the load. We feel a little silly giving up so many good crew options in the Canaries – we met so many cool people that we had to turn down! But now, I hope you'll consider joining us! Again, we don't anticipate having the same problem twice, but it made me want to fill as many spaces as we can take to make the crossing easier on everyone. Since we are in Mindelo now, we will gladly fly the crew member down to us. We plan to leave late next week (approx Nov 21).
