Description

Back in the late '80's Hunter Marine decided to make a "passage-making" edition of the Hunter 42. They produced the Hunter Passage 42, in which they beefed up everything (hull thickness, shroud diameter, engine/prop size, electronics, and interior options) and even modified the normal no-backstay B&R rig to have a backstay. PROTEUS has made three Atlantic Crossings, spent time in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean and is still going strong after 23 years at sea.

PROTEUS is a center cockpit sloop rigged for extremely long-distance sailing off the grid. She has oversized solar array, wind generator, and all safety equipment standard with ISAF/SOLAS regulations.
