[ Full ] Swan 48 ‘Isbjorn’ Caribbean 1500 Passage United States to Virgin Islands - British ref 5525
Andy Schell wants 2 crew for Isbjorn, S&S Swan 48, 15m.
From Portsmouth, VA, United States to Tortola, Virgin Islands - British.
November 2015 to November 2015.
Timing wise, the event itself gets started on Saturday, October 31, in Portsmouth, VA, and you'd be welcome to join the boat anytime from then onwards. We have happy hours, dinners, seminars and all sorts of fun stuff on offer during the week that significantly adds value to the passage. The fleet will head to sea, weather dependent, on November 8, so if you're tight on time, you could join the boat as late as Thursday, November 5. The passage itself will be about 8-10 days, sailing a total of just under 1500 nautical miles to Tortola in the BVI. All customs clearance issues will be handled by the skipper, and won't cost you anything. On arrival, there is another week of events in Tortola with the rally which you'd be welcome to join, or if you're tight on time, you can jet home! The final prize giving for the rally is scheduled for November 20, or 12 days after a delayed start. I recommend waiting until you arrive in Tortola to book travel home. COST & WHAT YOU GET The trip is $4,000.00 per person, which includes everything you need on the boat, plus the following: Helly Hansen 'Inflatable Racing' PFD with integrated harness to use onboard. Double-tether for moving around on deck to use onboard. Isbjörn Sailing crew t-shirt All meals, snacks and drinks while on the boat, including beer, wine and rum while in port. Sleeping bag and pillow onboard. Large collection of books onboard, including novels, sailing classics and sailing reference books, in hard copy. Online tracking for friends and family at home from YB Tracking. What the price DOESN'T include: Transportation to and from the boat. Personal toiletries & clothing. Foul-weather gear (see packing list for details).
