[ Cancelled ] Let’s got to the South Pacific (Panama – Hiva-Oa) Panama to French Polynesia ref 3689
Fritze von Berswordt wants 2 crew for Alytes, Lagoon 400, 12m.
From Puerto Colon, Panama to Hiva-Oa, French Polynesia.
March 2015 to May 2015.
We (Heide, 43, Fritze, 42 and Mina,9) are sailing our catamaran Alytes around the world in two years. Late in March 2015, we plan to pass the Panama Channel and sail to Hiva-Oa (Marquesas, French Polynesia) via Galapagos. We plan to spend about two weeks in Galapagos exploring land and sea. We look for crew as watch supprt for the whole trip. Joining just for one part is an option (either Panama - Galapagos or Galapagos Hiva-Oa). We look for folks that are willing and able to take responsibility for two three-hour watches in 24 hours (nine hours of free time between watches). A bit of experience in steering a sailboat and the confidence to survive a night watch are the things you would need. Any other qualifications are helpful. We have a nine year old girl on board, so be prepared to interact with one ;-). We are looking forward to good yarns, interesting plans and great talk over those glasses of wine during the long days of passage. Our priorities are safety, comfort, fun and speed. Our barbacue is one of our most valued equipment on board ;-). We share the costs of the kitchen (food / gas) while sailing or preparing. As we like good food and drinks, expect about 120 Euro a week of sailing (most likely four weeks plus a week of buffer). In case you spend some time in Galapagos with us: you are most welcome to stay on board at the time. Everybody will be responsible for his own expenditures that are related to Galapagos. Tickets to and from the start- and destination ports are to be covered by the crew.
