[ Archived ] Atlantic Crossing and Carribean Spain to Cuba ref 3466

Ruth Tedder wants 2 crew for Blue Heeler 1, Bavaria 46, 13.9m.

From , Spain to , Cuba.

November 2014 to January 2015.

We are making our Atlantic crossing and need crew to help with watch keeping, sailing and general duties onboard. We are experienced sailors but have not made an ocean crossing before. Our two boys on board make life extra busy but fun. We would like to sail with people who have some sailing experience, are clear communicators, enjoy good conversation and a laugh, are moderate, can get along with the boys, and are willing to work. We like to make music so if you do to, then great!

What roles/experience are needed (Crew 1): Watch-leader

What roles/experience are needed (Crew 2): does not matter

Sailing with a Rally: Independent

I'm looking for (gender): either

Cabins/Sleeping : own cabin-own bunk

Smoking on board: smoking allowed

Total people on board: 6

Crew roles: This will depend on your experience. I take care of navigation and Karl makes overall decision about course and strategy, so these are taken care of - but if you have experience we are also open to learning as there is always more to learn. Weather knowledge would be good. Otherwise, help in the galley is attractive (we are vegetarian) and of course, keeping watch and general onboard tasks. If you like to engage the two boys in some games or discussion this is also a useful skill on board.

Money: daily contribution from crew

Travel to and from boat: crew pays
