[ Cancelled ] Passage from Portsmouth to St Tropez United Kingdom to France ref 3375

LV Yachting wants 6 crew for Northern Child, Swan 51 , 16m.

From Portsmounth, United Kingdom to St Tropez, France.

September 2015 to September 2015.

The passages from Portsmouth to St Tropez is approximately 2000nm and we have allowed 3 weeks with contingency time built in for bad weather. The passage to the Mediterranean is a great opportunities to build miles, gain confidence offshore or just spend a couple of weeks on a comfortable yacht under the guidance of a professional skipper. If the weather conditions are favourable then you will sail straight across the Bay of Biscay to La Coruna or Bayona. The 350nm sail across the Bay can be a spectacular with lots of dolphins and occasionally Whales. Once across you will follow the coast of Portugal south with a possible stop in the Cascias. After Cascais the Port of Gibraltar is the next stop. The Rock of Gibraltar with its impressive stature, towering isolated above the surrounding countryside is a famous beacon of the narrow stretch of water that separates Europe from Africa. Leaving Gibraltar, we then head for Palma. Palma is as synonymous with yachting as Cowes - just warmer and arguably a little prettier! From Palma we embark onwards to beautiful Bay of St Tropez where this passage will finish.
