Robert Perry when designing Passport yachts gave great emphases on sea worthy comfort, good sailing cockpit design fast drainage. When I had her built special I upsized all winches and as a solo sailor have had little problem handling Rapture’s sail plan in heavy weather including Hurricane Mitch.. Passport Yachts build incredibly strong yachts and in 1984 all the teak interior is solid and thick, the hull is hand laid up solid 13/4” thick. Recently I replaced all the chain plates with 316L ¼” Stainless. She is a true bluewater boat.
