Description

This is a Classic 1985 Tashiba 40' Double-Ended Pilot House cutter that was custom refitted on 2001 at Lyman-Morris in Maine. Has sailed extensively in Canadian Maritimes, East Coast or US, Bahamas and the Eastern Caribbean. Displacement is 30,000 LB. 3000 hours on the Westerbeke 71 C engine with a folding three-blade Max-prop. Her under body is a 6 foot draft modified Full keel with full keel supported rudder. Tashiba 40's are stable, proven Blue Water Cruisers.

Secondary internal Internal Helm station in Pilot house. Ray Marine Instruments and Auto-pilot. ICOM 802 SSB with Pactor Modem for Email. Full Battan 9 oz Main sail with three reefs using Jiffy reefing from cockpit, Lazy Jacks and Tides Track Sail Slides for easy reefing. Self tending 9 oz Staysail on Hoyt Boom, and 9 oz Yankee that are on roller furllers. The Boat also carryies a 1.5 oz Gennaker and a 1 oz Light air drifter. Both of these are in ATN socks. Track mounted whisker pole. Solar, Wind and Genset electrics. 100 Gal Fuel, 200 Gal Water. All Pilothouse Windows equipped with Lexan storm shutters for heavy weather sailing. Running Back-stays for heavy weather sailing. Full Rig and hull inspection and survey March 2016 and March 2017 with new running and Standing Rigging 2016. New Main, New Yankee and New Staysail March 2016. Six man Emergency Life raft re-packed 2017, EPIRB and AIS Receiver.
