[ active ] Galapagos to Marquesas Galapagos to French Polynesia ref 16107
From Santa Cruz, Galapagos to Hiva Oa, French Polynesia.
February 2027 to March 2027.
Based on the World Arc Plan, we should depart from Galapagos to Marquesas on March 3. Additional crew should be there at latest 3-4 days before arrival, in order to become familiar with the boat and its sailing and safety equipment, other crew, share considerations about the crossing, etc. We are currently the two of us (my wife and myself) and are evaluating options to live this adventure with 2/3 additional sailing enthusiasts. My wife and myself have skippered Edenj ourselves since it was launched in 2021, sailing about 6 months per year and therefore in very varied weather conditions. We first sailed the boat from Italy to Greece along the Ionian and around the whole Peloponnese, then explored almost the entire Greek Aegean, afterwards the Ionian Greece, Croatia, Italy and related islands, Corse & south of France, Baleares and south of Spain, the Canaries, the Atlantic Crossing, and finally the Caribbean Antilles and the Bahamas (about 20.000 nautical miles in total). We both hold an Italian Nautical Licence (without limits from the coast) and the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate, plus other ancillary certificates (SRC, World Sailing Surival Course, First Aid Red Cross, etc.).
