Description

Sisu is a 1997 Swan 44 MKII, a boat with a longstanding reputation for offshore cruising and racing. She was designed by the renowned naval architect German Frers and built by Nautor Swan in Finland. She\\\'s heavily built but shaped for speed and sails upwind nicely. Her hull speed is reportedly a little over 7 kts. Sisu has been blessed with numerous upgrades including a new engine, new standing rigging, new sails, new electronics, all-Victron LiPo-based battery system, new autopilot, new teak decks and many others. She has a fore and aft cabin that each sleep two and three more beds in the saloon (a pilot berth and two settees); she has two heads. The galley includes a three burner stove, freezer, frig, and barista-tested coffee grinder. This summer I spent 9 weeks sailing Sisu from Rhode Island to Newfoundland and back. She is a truly wonderful boat.
