[ active ] Maggie Ray ARC 2026 Canary Islands to Saint Lucia ref 16067
From Las Palmas, Canary Islands to Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia.
November 2026 to December 2026.
We’re an easygoing couple who enjoy sailing, exploring new places, good food, and meeting people from around the world. We take safety seriously, but we also believe that life aboard should be enjoyable. Maggie Ray is our home, and we’re looking for someone who will respect the boat, contribute to keeping things running smoothly, and enjoy becoming part of the crew. The ARC will be a major adventure for all of us, and we’re hoping to find someone who is excited about the challenge of crossing an ocean—not simply looking for a way to get to the Caribbean. If you have genuine ocean-passage experience, enjoy being part of a team, and think an Atlantic crossing aboard Maggie Ray sounds like the kind of adventure you’ve been looking for, we’d love to hear from you.
What roles/experience are needed (Crew 1): does not matter
What roles/experience are needed (Crew 2): does not matter
Sailing with a Rally: None
I'm looking for (gender): either
Cabins/Sleeping : own cabin-own bunk
Smoking on board: non-smokers only
Total people on board: 4
Crew roles: We are looking for an experienced offshore sailor to join us for the Atlantic crossing. This is not a coastal cruising opportunity—we are specifically looking for someone who has genuine ocean-passage experience and is comfortable with the realities of being offshore for an extended period of time. We are a non-smoking boat, so a non-smoker is essential. We are also vegetarian, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable with a vegetarian lifestyle and shared meals aboard. We’re looking for someone who can confidently participate in watch keeping, sail handling, navigation, and the day-to-day responsibilities of an ocean passage. Experience with overnight watches, changing weather conditions, heavy seas, and making decisions offshore is important. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is calm, responsible, adaptable, and works well as part of a small crew.
Money: expenses shared equally
Travel to and from boat: negotiable
