Dear fellows sailors, Why crossing an ocean ? Because it is there !!! We plan to go across the South Atlantic and then the South Pacific in 2026 and 2027. Humans have always ventured beyond the horizon, driven by curiosity, necessity, and the sheer will to explore. Ocean sailing embodies the very essence of human ambition and exploration. * What draws us to cross the open ocean? Perhaps the spirit of human exploration, some primal connection to the sea, or venturing beyond the familiar, driven by curiosity not obligation. To embark on an ocean voyage is to engage in an experience that connects sailors with centuries of explorers, voyagers, and visionaries, allowing us to experience history today. * Ocean sailing is one of the purest forms of human endeavor—where raw skill, mental fortitude, and nature’s unpredictability intersect, forging an experience that is both deeply personal and entirely human. * The Philosophical Transformation: While learning ocean sailing is the goal, sailors inevitably return changed—having faced solitude, vulnerability, and the raw beauty of nature. Time slows, yet days disappear in a flash, revealing the paradox of ocean life. * Beyond Technical Mastery: The challenge is not just in handling sails or plotting routes. It is in enduring storms, seasickness, fatigue, and Inner reflection. Ocean sailing asks deeper questions: What am I truly capable of? How do I respond to uncertainty and isolation? Crew roles: We are a couple of experienced ocean sailors, and we like to share our passion for ocean sailing. You are expected to be fully involved into every duties and activities onboard, accordingly to your abilities. We will of course support you in every aspects of life on a sailing boat at sea. This are ocean Sailing type passages, in which we are aim to enhance human skills and perceptions, in this age of technology where it is easy to simulate or manipulate everything ; we believe that human techniques must be at the heart of the art of sailing. We are here for sharing tips and sometimes knowledge ;) We are not a sailing school, we do not delivering any diploma of all kind. But we may help you to organize your skills into a coherent pattern, especially for ocean sailing. We also organize RYA type passages, compliant with YM Offshore and YM Ocean requirements.
