Description

We refitted a 2004 First 40.7 that is usually a fast cruising or even racing boat. Since we added gear like an arch, windgenerator, solarmodules, a watermaker etc. it is of course no longer a racing boat but still a fast cruiser. It has 3 cabins, of which we are using the one in the front for storage (sails, tools, spares etc.) during passages. The boat is well equpped with state of the art safety gear such as an EPIRB, Liferaft, POB recovery syste, first aid equipment and pharmaceuticals for crossings. The resources on the boat are well thought about, however we have to do some energy management. We have next to the mainsail (3 reefs) and the furling genoa a gennaker and a spinnaker. The cockpit offers plenty of space with a traveler in front of the 1.7m (!) carbon steering wheel. For the crossings we mostly rely on our hydraulic autopilot that already brought us across the atlantic once. If you have any questions about the boat don\\\\\\\'t hesitate to ask. Since we did the refit ourselves and are interested in technics we know it very well ;)
