From Simpson Bay, Saint Martin to Baiona, Spain.

May 2013 to June 2013.

I am offering two berths on a cruise to competent, responsible, observant and respectful sailors who wish to complete an Atlantic crossing (Caribbean to Spain). Our intended departure date from St. Martins is Mid April start of May 2013. Expected passage plan: BVI to Bermuda 5/6 days Bermuda to Azores 12/13 days Azores to Spain 6/7 days Arriving in Baiona at the start of June. “Indulgence” is a Dehler 36 cruiser/racer based in Cork. We completed the ARC 2012 with a crew of four. The owner and two crew have now returned to work in Ireland. I am a qualified Yachtmaster with over 30 years of sailing experience. I have delivered, raced and cruised monos and cats in Northern Europe, the Med and the Caribbean including three Atlantic crossings. I am now sailing throughout the Caribbean with my wife while waiting for the weather pattern to take us back to Baiona, Spain. Crew may join “Dulgie” from mid April. A contribution of €12/$15 per day, towards provisions, while onboard will be expected from each crewmember. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

Crew roles: To enjoy and assist in a safe West to East Atlantic passage by trimming/reefing sails, navigating (autohelm), weather observing/routing (satphone and Gribs), cooking/cleaning and all other aspects of an ocean crossing by sail. In the expected conditions a ‘2 hours On - 6 hours Off’ watch-system will be operated. Expected stopovers in Bermuda and Azores (3/5 days at each) will be dictated by weather.

Money: daily contribution from crew $12
