Catamaran AKASA wants 1 crew for AKASA, Leopard, m.

From Scarborough Marina, Brisbane, Australia to Debut, Kai Islands, Indonesia.

May 2025 to July 2025.

We are looking for preferably an Australian crew member (or a couple) with local knowledge of the Queensland coast and willing to join us from May 1st until around early July 2025 from Brisbane to Debut, Kai Islands, Indonesia. Leisure cruise up the east coast of Australia and then a 5/6 days passge from Thursday Island to Indonesia.

I'm looking for (gender): either

Cabins/Sleeping : own cabin-own bunk

Smoking on board: non-smokers only

Total people on board: 3

Crew roles: We are looking for either a single person or a couple (Queen size bed in dedicated cabin with private head and shower). Preferably local knowledge of the Queensland/North East coast of Australia and able to do night watches by him/herself when needed. The purpose of the trip is sightseeing this part of the world. We are thinking of the following stops but are completely open to suggestions. - Brisbane —> Pelican bay (anchor): very long “day” of navigation. Need to pass the bar by day !!possibly need to stop overnight south west of “double island point” Note to self: update map to get new WP1 position. - Pelican bay —> Kingfisher bay (anchor): full day of navigation in little water (route already in the plotter as we did it in 2024). Sandy Straits. - Kingfisher bay: visit K’Gari (Fraser island) (large sand island with fresh water lakes) - Kingfisher Bay —> Big woody island (anchor): half day cruising. - Big woody —> Bundaberg (marina or anchor): half day cruising. - Bundaberg —> Lady Musgrave 60NM (anchor): start of the Great barrier reef. Enter the atol through a pass. Enter in either flat tide or incoming tide. Have a mooring on left of entrance to wait. Need sun high in sky 10am to 2pm. - Lady Musgrave —> Fitzroy reef (25NM): spend a night if calm and cut the way to Keppel Is. - Fitzroy reef —> Great Keppel Island (70NM) : Monkey Beach Anchorage, Fisherbay, great snorkeling grounds and wlaking tracks. Long sailing day. - G.K.Island —> Mackay (175NM) : overnight passage or can stop on the way in Middle Percy Island. per example. - Mackay —> Withsundays (50NM) : day sail - Grays Bay, Bowen (55NM): Day Sail - Gloucester Passage - Townsville (100NM) - Magnetic Island (10NM) - Orpheus Island - Cassowary Coast/ Hinchinbrook Island/ Zoe Bay (Zoe Waterfall) (60NM) - Cairns Coast / Port Douglas / Low islands (100NM) - Cooktown (Last facilities/marina before going more North) / Lizard Island (Watsons Bay) (100NM) - Thursday Island for check-out - Around 5 days/night passage to Indonesia. The boat is a Leopard 46' sailing catamaran with water maker, 1200Ah Lithium batteries, Starlink, Radar, Autopilot, AIS, EPIRB, new 6 pax Liferaft, covered&enclosed helm station, Fridges, Freezer, etc.

Money: expenses shared equally
