[ Cancelled ] Samoa to French Polynesia (via Cook Islands) Samoa to French Polynesia ref 15044

Sonja Novotny wants 2 crew for Ventura, Privilege, m.

From Apia, Samoa to Bora Bora, French Polynesia.

September 2024 to October 2024.

I’m currently in Samoa and at the end of September or beginning of October plan to sail first to American Samoa, then through the Cook Islands and finally arrive at Bora Bora in French Polynesia. It will only be between 8-11 days at sea, but hoping to enjoy a little time exploring the islands along the way, plus waiting on gentle weather windows, means the total passage duration could be as long as 3-5 weeks. There will be 2 big jumps of about 4-5 days each, and a few smaller jumps of a day or less between islands. The vessel is a well maintained and equipped Privilege catamaran and I’ve been cruising onboard full time for over 5 years. I know the boat quite well. I prefer to have a good time over making good time and appreciate keeping a light and friendly atmosphere onboard, even under stress. Ultimately I plan to cruise around French Polynesia for 6 months to a year, then continue to Hawaii, Canada, and CA/Mexico.

Crew roles: We have one open cabin with a private en-suite head. Open to a couple or pair of friends that are comfortable sharing the space, OR a single well qualified crew member. Experience sailing is a must, offshore preferred. Currently on the boat is me, 44yr old female with 100GT Captain’s License and many other credentials, and a couple I sailed with in California who own monohulls on the west and east coasts of the US, who are also long-time live-aboard sailors. We all pay our own way for food, drinks, entertainment, excursions, travel and we split costs for fuel and marinas. There are usually very minimal expenses and my previous crew spent less than $400USD each for over 2 months onboard (ship expenses through 4 countries: Fiji, Futuna, Wallis, Samoa). You can decide to be frugal or lavish or somewhere in between. Choose your own adventure!

Money: expenses shared equally

Travel to and from boat: crew pays
