Hello, I am Stephen and I have owned Mr Blue Sky since the summer of 2022. I am 56 and British and took early retirement during the pandemic. I have sailed for over 40 years but have only 1 ocean passage over 500Nm so need someone with experience to join the existing crew. We are booked onto the ARC to the Caribbean in November 2024 and will do a number of ´shake-down-trips´ this spring from our base in the Algarve and so need some crew that want to mile build but already have some ocean experience - minimum 2 nights on a single passage. MBS is my 3rd yacht and is a well equipped 10 year old, 15m sailing yacht that has had a lot of investment since I bought her. She has 3 double cabins and a twin pullman style cabin. Someone who can help trouble shoot and share their experience from other yachts will be prioritised for these ocean legs. 1. Portimao to Lanzarote/ Grand Canaria - 6-700NM early march 2. Canaries to Madeira 250-300NM early April 3. Crew roles: Experienced crew invited to join on a shakedown trip to the canaries from Portugal. The ideal person will have good knowledge of boat systems and experience of night watches and have done some Ocean cruising. All duties shared equally but a sense of fun and a love for sailing are pre requisites! No salary and expenses such as provisioning are shared.
