From Helsinki, Finland to Kiel, Germany.

June 2023 to July 2023.

This the first leg on our trip down to the Caribbean. This year we have decided to leave during full summer conditions. That hopefully allows us a smooth ride to Portugal and a nice exit from the north before the weather turns nasty. The trip to Kiel offers a great variety of stop-overs and places to visit. The Baltic coastline is littered with small cities, nice anchorages and islands to explore. We have a total journey of about 650 miles and ten days to spend. That will give us time to visit some of the sweet spots along the way. Usually the first stop is Visby on Gotland. If we end up having south westerlies it might as well be Tallinn (Estonia) or Sandhamn (Sweden)? We need to keep an open mind to different options. Some of the sweet spots along the way are Old Medieval Tallinn, the Swedish summer paradise of Sandhamn, charming Danish Christiansö or why not park up in the middle of Copenhagen and enjoy the treats of this wonderful city? There is plenty to explore! We will be max eight persons on the boat, Skipper (+Cook) and six crew to ensure enough space on the boat to create decent living conditions. Our aim is to get everyone in a relaxed mood to enjoy both sailing and land based vacation. The way we sail the boat is up to the appetite of the crew. Sometimes it’s nice to give her proper wings and fly some of the big downwind sails, on the other hand more moderate sail configurations will give us a smoother ride. The skipper is also happy to give everyone a chance to get into the operational aspect of running the boat. We will have a few “overnighters” along the way that give the chance for crew to get more involved and grab some responsibility in doing things. This trip is a great tutorial if you are looking to buy a boat and do some long-hauls yourself! Voyage cost covers full board when at sea and all costs for boat and personal safety equipment, foulies, bedding etc

Crew roles: We are looking for easy going people. You don't have to be a good sailor, we teach you the tricks along the way. A plus is previous experience and an idea about how life on an offshore boat works. If you are an seasoned sailor we are happy to give you more responsibility running watches etc
