Description

The Pogo 36 is a performance-cruiser build by Pogo Structures SAS, one of the most famous shipbuilders for Mini 6.50 and Class 40 offshore racers. Although the boat carries a lot of this single-handed racer genes, it’s laid out for fast cruising and not for racing with optimized IRC/ORC rating. SELKIE is equipped with a 45sqm mainsail (3 reefs), and 4 headsails (Trinquette, Solent, Code 5, Assy.Spinnaker), NKE Electronics and NKE Autopilot, Weather4D navigation/routing software and Digital Yacht AIS5000 Transponder. Communication ICom VHF and IridiumGo satellite phone. Full safety equipment for offshore sailing. The boat (build in 2021; CE Categorie A confirmed for 6) can be sailed single- or double-handed. For longer trips with max. crew of 3 or 4.

Additional details

Although the Pogo 36 is laid out and very capable for fast and safe offshore sailing, SELKIE is not a typical bluewater cruiser. It’s build by offshore sailors for sailors, who do not expect too much of comfort when moored. It requires active sailing and returns a lot of fun.
