From Florianópolis / Montevideo, Brazil to Puerto Williams / Ushuaia , Chile.
March 2022 to May 2022.
Opportunity for a single position or couple to join us from southern Brazil along the coast till the Beagle Channel. Extensive experience not absolutely required but some familiarity with boats and a passion for sailing are important. You will be responsible for your shift, typically on a 3 hour rotation. As well as your share of cooking and cleaning duties, also on rotation. After resupplying the boat, we will leave Florianópolis headed south. Weather dependent we will make as direct a route as possible; planning to divide the sail into a series of 3-4 day segments, possibly more. Overall we want to make the roughly 2200 nm into the Beagle channel in a month before the seasons change. Conditions could be increasingly colder and rough as we make our way South but we will hug the coast to avoid the Falklands current. Operating expenses, ie food, diesel, satellite subscriptions, and similar will be shared.

Crew roles: Potential crew would have some experience with sailing and a passion to learn more. 2 private cabins are available including one with a double bed: couples welcome to apply. You will provide your own gear including extensive foul/cold weather gear for May at 55 deg south. Smoking and drug use not allowed while on board. Light alcohol use acceptable while not on passage.
