[ closed ] Bahamas to New England Bahamas to United States ref 13339

Ludwig Hoogstoel wants 1 crew for Ataraxia, 2006 Etap 46ds, m.

From Freeport, Bahamas to Stamford, CT, United States.

February 2022 to December 2022.

Having arrived with ARC January, Ataraxia will cruise the Carib to arrive in the Bahamas (Freeport) or perhaps South Florida by end of May. Beginning of June 2022, she will head for Stamford CT on an ocean route. This trip is approximately 1000 miles and between 7 and 10 days depending on weather. All on-board expenses are covered by the captain but crew pays transport to and from the boat as well as all land based expenses including covid testing.

What roles/experience are needed (Crew 1): Watch-leader

Sailing with a Rally: Independent

I'm looking for (gender): male

Cabins/Sleeping : own cabin-own bunk

Smoking on board: smoking allowed

Total people on board: 3

Crew roles: Ataraxia intends to sail with a crew of 3. Ludwig will captain this trip and will be accompanied by an experienced ocean sailor. We look to complete the crew with one experienced crew member who can stand individual watches. We are looking for a young(er) athletic person who is easy-going but understands the rigors of ocean sailing. If this is your first ocean trip, but you have extensive coastal experience, we can discuss that. Introducing young sailors to ocean passage making is part of the reward for the captain. Mental stability is key. Covid vaccination is self-evident. You will be entering the USA from abroad, so you will need passport etc. Given the lay-out of the boat, you will have a choice between your own crew cabin (which however also houses the generator) or the main salon. Look up the boat profile and captains' profile to determine fit.

Money: captain pays all expenses

Travel to and from boat: crew pays
