[ Cancelled ] Grenada to Florida Keys Grenada to United States ref 13148
Mike Schaaf wants 2 crew for Chao Lay, Bavaria 50, m.
From Port Louis Marina, Grenada to Marathon, United States.
November 2021 to December 2021.
I need 2 crew members to join me on my cruise home from Grenada, USA citizens only. I plan on leaving Grenada around November 16. We'll be heading for the West coast of Puerto Rico where we can clear customs into the USA. Probably spend 2-3 days in Puerto Real. Next, it'll be 7 days and nights straight sailing up through the Old Bahama Channel to Marathon. I need crew members who are experienced sailors that can stand a four hour watch at night. There will be a maximum of 3 on board. You'll have 4 hours on and 8 hours off watch. Chao Lay is a Bavaria 50, built for comfort not for speed. I like to reef early and go slow. You would have your own private cabin with shared head. Non-smokers only. Come join me for a comfortable cruise up through the Windward Islands. Crew must pay their own transportation cost to and from the boat.
What roles/experience are needed (Crew 1): does not matter
What roles/experience are needed (Crew 2): does not matter
Sailing with a Rally: Independent
I'm looking for (gender): either
Cabins/Sleeping : own cabin-own bunk
Smoking on board: non-smokers only
Total people on board: 3-4
Crew roles: Experienced sailors. Non Smokers. US Citizens. Crewing on board Chao Lay works best when all are considered equals. You will be consulted, when appropriate, as a part of decision making, but you must also be willing to share all work, difficulties, and dangers. Keeping a cruising boat in safe condition requires work on repairs and maintenance. This is an obligation to be shared by all aboard. Good crew looks for ways to help and taking part will make you feel involved.
Money: captain pays all expenses
Travel to and from boat: crew pays
