Description

2015 Hanse 455 we named Veni Vidi Vixi (I came, I saw, I lived). We have owned VVV since new, always with the intention of one day sailing her back from Europe to New Zealand. VVV has proven herself to be a fast, comfortable cruiser and very capable of safely bringing myself and my family home to New Zealand. We have spent many months preparing VVV and equipping her for the voyage (using the World Cruising/ARC safety checklist as a starting point), including: Layout: 4 double cabin, 2 toilet with large open saloon and cockpit. Modern light well ventilated saloon and bedrooms. Safety: AIS transceiver, radar reflector, BnG 4g radar, liferaft, jonbuoy/danbouy, AIS PLBs, tri-colour masthead etc Sails: Main (3 reefs), storm jib, 130% downwind genoa, 103% self-tacking jib, furling genniker, furling code 0 (all new 2020) Miscellaneous: watermaker, lithium batteries, upgraded balmar alternator, all new running rigging (dyneema/kevlar chafe protection), electric toilet, electric winch, all BnG equipment - chartplotters (x2), autopilot, H5000 sailing instruments (x4) etc

Additional details

I am looking for 3/4 crew to help sail VVV across the Atlantic while my wife takes the kids to spend some time with family in Canada. We have joined the ARC2020 departing from Las Palmas, Grand Canaria on 22 November 2020 and arriving in St Lucia, Caribbean approximately 2.5 to 3 weeks later.
