Description

Kiwi is a well-fitted out Catamaran. She was the showboat for Nautitech at the launch of the model at the La Grande Motte multihull show. Some of the gear onboard includes a large Gennaker and new generation Parisailor, self-tacking jib on a fuller, twin helms with mirrored chart plotters and gauges at each helm, autopilot, solar power, hydro generator, watermaker, chart table with chart plotter DSC VHF, AIS transponder, Iridium Go and Iridium backup handheld phone and a windows PC that looks after weather and parts of the navigation process. A new Hydrovane steering system is to be fitted before departing Greece. Crew should bring their iPad or tablet to join the onboard wifi that links to either the entertainment system for movies and tv shows or into the boat navigation system to view the chart plotters and boat systems. If you have music or movies of your own to add to the library we can share that with other crew members through the Plex Server. The Iridium system will provide the crew with a limited amount of texts each day to stay in touch with family and when we are in port the boat can connect to local WIFI and broadcast the internet connection back to all crew members while onboard.

Additional details

The crew is expected to cover costs associated with Covid isolation, testing, and travel to and from the vessel. A negative Covid test 72 hours prior to boarding the vessel and Covid vaccination at least two months prior to boarding This will assist with the Covid requirements of the crew as we visit each port. All visa, covid isolation, ongoing flights, and accommodation from your departure port are expected to be covered by the crew member.
