Join us for the Islands Race Feb 21-22, 2020. You should be reasonably experienced, preferably have some off-shore sailing miles. You would be expected to participate in watches and general duties onboard. Looking for folks that are easy going and friendly to help out and make the race enjoyable and fun for all of us. Prefer folks who are able to get together and go sailing in San Diego a time or 2 before the race. The race is 134 NMs. Hull speed on the Hunter 340 is 7.4 knots. So it will take at least 18 hours to complete the race. The boat will be provisioned with food and water. You’re welcome to sleep on the boat the night before the race and the night after we cross the finish line. 4 hour watches during the day, 3 hour watches at night. You should know that we do not expect to win this race. (So if you are ultra competitive, this is not the boat for you.)
