Description

My boat was reviewed in Yachting Monthly September 2015: "Despite being only 29ft long, the Hallberg Rassy 29 has all the credentials of a true offshore cruising yacht – unless a Southern Ocean passage is planned! She’s easy to handle for a couple or even a single-hander, as the gear and sails are less loaded. She is a well-balanced boat and her long keel means she tracks well downwind. All HRs are built to Lloyds certification. They instil confidence by their ability to shrug off heavy seas and plough on to windward without drama. The 29’s motion through the water is pleasing and comfortable, which is what you need for long offshore passages." Additional details

I sail mainly in the Solent. I usually have two or three on board, including me - which means you are likely to have the fore cabin to yourself. I usually go out for two or three days, and up to ten days. I am happy for people to join and leave when it suits them - the South Coast is well served by trains. I am happy to sail with people of varying experience. The yacht is extremely well maintained, has 5ft 11 standing head room, heating, cooker & oven, large fridge and plenty of storage. In two or three years I plan to purchase a larger yacht, suitable for a circumnavigation with the World Arc. In the mean time, I would like to meet and sail with crew who may like to join me.
