Experience the thrill of sailing on a high-performance Volvo Open 70 while honing your skills and building your miles. This trip is for everyone, whether you are a novice or experienced sailor. Bag some 1,200nms as we sail Volvo Open 70 “Kraken” from Southampton to Gibraltar and cross the infamous Bay of Biscay – a true right of passage for any sailor. Over 10 days, you will have the opportunity to helm, trim, practice evolutions, passage plan, weather route and if you are a budding yacht master you can have the opportunity to skipper a 60-mile passage under the watchful eye of a Yachtmaster instructor. Stop-over possibilities en route include SW England, Northern France (Brest), NW Spain (Baiona), Portugal (Cascais, Faro, Vilamoura). Includes - A place on the yacht crew - Professional Race Skipper and four additional professional crew - Food, fuel and mooring fees - Wet weather gear Does not include - Travel to and from the yacht - Food ashore £1,400pp

Cramped quarters, freeze dried food and basic accommodation are the trade-off for a fast boat, many miles, stunning scenery and the most exhilarating ride. We do it just as the elite ocean racers do so you truly get a genuine experience.
