Description

Once in a Lifetime Experience With Very Limited Spaces Only! This is ideal for recently qualified offshore yacht masters, wanting to do their ocean master qualifying passage. Hi everyone, my boyfriend and I have some limited slots available on our fast catamaran. The opportunity is for crew members (plus potentially a chef) on Aroha, a 50 ft Catamaran. We are ideally looking for like minded people and really wanting to share this adventure, so we are searching for: adventurous, fun loving, chilled out but also on the ball and have some good chat. You don't have to have sailing experience but it would be beneficial. This is a chance to learn how to sail, or gain more miles, with once in a lifetime memories along the way! Itinerary: The boat is currently in the Mediterranean but we would be taking it to Gibraltar (where the crew can join), then visit the Canary Islands (Graciosa, Hiero) in early November 2019 (some 1 week sail training in the Canaries for those aboard interested), then complete the crossing to the Caribbean - destination St Lucia to Mustique (with one week of cruising after Caribbean after we arrive). We will leave early November (dependant on weather). Costs: - 500 GBP deposit - Total costs per person 2000 GBP for the voyage - No other hidden costs! Note: Deposit secures your place! About the Skipper We are both aussie, we both love the ocean and are a young, adventurous, fun loving couple! The skipper is a very experienced and competent, having completed the transatlantic as part of race crew and as cruising twice before. He is happy and willing to share skills and teach. He loves the ocean, free diving, fishing and skiing. Also thinks he is quite funny. About Myself: I am Australian, growing up on a sheep station I love space, freedom and exploration but I also grew up very near the coast. I really love fishing, freediving, swimming, boating, scuba, horse riding, motor bike riding and just really anything outside. About Aroha: She is a very fast 50 ft Catamaran and has done the transatlantic twice before. She has three double bedrooms and two bathrooms and a large saloon. We have two autopilots, 2 chart plotters, a large radar, a water maker and a very good/loud sound system! Included: - Minimum of one week cruising Canary Islands (Graciosa, Hiero) - Cruising Caribbean (from st lucia to mustique) - All personal safety equipment (lifejacket, light, torch, knife etc.) - Food, snacks and drinks are provided on board (not booze) but a few beers or two - Sail Training - Snorkel Gear - A bloody good time! :) Not Included: - Meals ashore - Flights to and from - Foul wet weather gear - Personal travel Insurance (compulsory) Would love to hear from you please send us a bit of information you (what you like doing), a recent photo and why you would love this opportunity! :)
