Neil Ballantyne wants 1 crew for Hullabaloo, Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 45, m.

From Nanny Cay, Virgin Islands - British to Fort William, United Kingdom.

June 2019 to .

I am looking for 1, possibly 2, crew to join Hullabaloo for our return crossing from the BVIs to Scotland. I have been cruising with my wife and children for the last 9 months, starting in Venice last July and crossing the Atlantic with the ARC in November. My wife and children are flying home in May so I am looking for additional crew to take the boat home to Scotland. I am 43 and have been sailing on and off for 30 years, the last 15 on keelboats. 1st mate is Simon (57) a RYA Yachtmaster with North Sea racing and Fastnet experience. The boat is a 3 cabin Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 45. We had the standing rigging replaced and an inner forestay fitted prior to our east to west crossing in November and have all major safety equipment (liferaft, epirb, plb, ais beacons, danbouy, drogue) new in the last year. We have one cabin available for crew and would welcome an individual or two willing to share. We have no fixed deadlines so will sail with the weather but our general plan is: 7th May - Final provisioning in Road Town and then head up towards North Sound, Virgin Gorda ~10th May - Leave BVI for Azores. Will likely head more northerly leaving BVIs but do not plan to stop in Bermuda unless weather dictates. Expecting to arrive in Azores 26th/27th May and stay there for at least a couple of days to explore, relax and re-provision. 1st June - Leave Azores for Ireland. Expecting to arrive 10th/11th June We'll then spend a week or so cruising up Ireland and over to the west coast of Scotland. Crew could leave in Ireland or would be welcome to join us up to Scotland.
