From ROSES, Spain to Near Gibraltar, Spain.
September 2019 to October 2019.
Outfitting a Beneteau Cat Blue II to sail and storm train for the ARC 2020 next year. I have sailed solo or with limited crew often but much nicer and safer to sail with comrades which can often flower into life long sailing companions. I will complete the upgrade this summer which includes: Pontos winches, heavy duty main, electronics: chart plotter, radar, wind instruments, gps, autohelm upgrade, gale sail, don jordon drogue, new alternator system for both engines, danbuoy unit, life raft etc. TRIP 1: The itinerary, that is the other fun part, will be sailing the Spanish main, out to the Ballarics, Sardinia, Corsica, coast of France and Italy, then down to southern Spain for haul out and prep for trip 2 in 2020. TRIP 2: ARC 2020 Plus which starts at Canaries (I know we have to start out from Spain first), down to Cape Verdes then across. The boat will remain in the Caribbean for future fun and adventure.

Crew roles: PERFECT CREW WOULD BE an engine mechanic, a salt who has done it before, and a great cook and Me, I would just be the Captain but i am handy at most other things. I may also have a medic type on crew. Definitely a leaner but also a teacher of many things ie. law to sailing instructor and theatre director... I am learning some Spanish so if a crew member were bi-lingual, great. You support your own costs of travel to and from and some boat costs . We will sign a contract so everything is very clear and up front. Also it would be cool if you did a personality test for fun as a introduction to you. Love interesting and different people but not way out there because all of us need to live together for weeks and hopefully gain a somewhat family connection. So you can see I am not military minded type, more a mediator but directorial when necessary. What about you?
