My inner compass keeps pointing me towards this spot, which is magnetic, mysterious, exotic, and alluring but, wings, always fringed by the frontier of my fears. Still, it is this particular place that I'm compelled to travel in order to know myself and in doing so, call my lives complete. I'm here in search of wholeness, for in our chests, hiding just beneath each breath lies to hollow, and always it has cried out to be filled. Traveling under sail has provided me the opportunity to connect deeply with the people, places and elements I encounter. I'm taking my time, becoming a part of the landscape instead of just observing it Standing watch, hand-steering, navigating, going forward to reef, set parasail, recording logbook, cooking, wash dishes, cleaning, etc. SAFETY FIRST, all-way present. Pay attentions to safety procedure, emergency procedure, wearing safety harness outside the cockpit, regardless sea conditions, no smoke, no alcohol during passage, no drugs, no yelling, no complaining :) The key to a successful passage is teamwork. The hierarchy goes like this - take care of the boat first, then take care of each other. You'll be surprised how the mood can be lifted onboard by the simple offer of making your watchmate a snack on a wet & squally day! All tasks are for everyone, including the skipper. You’ll never be penalty or however for disobeying orders you feel are unsafe or you don’t have the skills for. Come with me share this adventure !!!!
