| We are a dynamic surfing, adventuresome, environmental conscientious 60+ duo! Gloria is an exquisite 71' foot cutter rigged ketch. If you have wanted to learn to sail, want to buy a boat, have a bucket list dream to fulfill, we are here for you. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about sailing, challenge yourself, actualize a dream. We eat healthy, are super active and we are a testiment to only getting better with age. Gloria is frim an era when fiberglass boats were built to last. She is a Vandestaadt cruiser/racer designed after Stormvogel. Stormvogel won the race around England, Capetown to Rio race. These ships are known for their craftsmanship and design. Gloria and Skipper Stephen King found each other in 2005. Together, they have weathered ten's of thousands of nautical miles. Skipper Stephen has classic yacht sail training. He has built boats and has been sailing the ocean blue for over 50 years. An avid surfer, he is constantly questing for prestine uncrowded waves. He owned the John Alden schooner Curlew in the late 70's to early 80's. Together they rode out the hurricane of '79 to Hawaii. With Gloria, he has sailed all the oceans except the Arctic, but, that may come. He has circumnaviated the Southern Ocean, keeping warm huddled with the Volvo Penta Tamd 41b, (for engine fans) when, briefly, relieved from the helm. A skipper from the chart and sextant days, he is a salty seadog with boundless knowledge. First mate, Yvonne, knows snow. A native of the great white north of Canada, she now, surfs and sails, noting that snow is just another form of water, but a significantly warmer form. Gloria is presently in Colombia and departing for the San Blas Islands, Panama on December 20. Come join us in the San Blas islands from January 2024 to March 2024. Make this your custom trip and enjoy an area still basically untouched. Join us through the Canal in April 2024 and/or island hopping in the Pacific from April to June, 2024 Your adventure can be customized so you can fulfill a dream and your life's desire for adventure.
