Will Collins, male, 54

Ref 27426

Nationality: United Kingdom
Currently based in: London, United Kingdom
Looking for: Worldwide opportunities
Experience: 10000 ocean miles / 10000 coastal miles
I have recently escaped from a career in financial services and am looking forward to getting back to spending some time on the water - instructing, deliveries or generally helping people out sailing and fixing their boats. I am an experienced cruising and racing sailor, both in-and off-shore, with approximately 20k miles logged. I qualified as an RYA Yachmaster Offshore in 1999, and have recently applied for it to be Commercially Endorsed. I should be qualified as a Cruising Instructor shortly. I have completed two trans-Atlantic’s as skipper (ARC out, independently home) in my own 37ft Najad (bought specifically for a sabbatical year and since sold). Winner of Cruising Class at Antigua Week 2002. Completed the Fastnet as watch-leader, plus many of the other RORC off-shore series. (RORC member.) I also sail/have sailed and raced dinghies - currently race infrequently in a Laser, previously more competitively in a Laser 4000. On the more personal side, I am married with three boys (all now dinghy sailors.) In the winters I'm to be found off-piste skiing/ski touring. (I'm currently applying to be a Leader for the Ski Club of Great Britain.) Physically fit. I'm practical, well organised, and a good cook! Open to any opportunities.
